On September 12, 2019, the Prime Minister inaugurated the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Mandhan Yojana Pension Scheme aimed at social security along with the savings of 5 crore small and marginal farmers.
Pradhan Mantri Kisan Mandhan Yojana is a central scheme where farmers get a pension of Rs 3000 per month. Pradhan Mantri Kisan Mandhan Yojana is a pension scheme launched by the central government for small and marginal farmers. 3000 per month pension from 60 years onwards.
On September 12, 2019, the Prime Minister inaugurated this pension scheme aimed at social security along with the savings of 5 crore small and marginal farmers. Those between the ages of 18 to 40 years and owning up to two hectares of land can join the scheme. Those who join at the age of 18 should deposit Rs 55 per month till the age of 60. Those who have completed 40 years should pay Rs.200. The central government will also pay the same amount. The central government is spending Rs 10774.50 crore for the next 3 years.

How to Apply
To join the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Mandhan Yojana Pension Scheme, get the CSC (Common Service Center) form approved by the Central Government. The documents will be verified and the form will be filled out at CSC. Records will be updated online. OTP will come on mobile. If you give it, you will get a pension number. The first installment must be paid in cash. Later, the bank account will be debited every month. This form should be submitted to the bank. Then you have to submit the auto debit form to the bank. Things To Know
- You will get a pension of Rs. 3,000 from the age of 60.
- If you die before the age of 60, your partner can continue in the pension scheme. If your partner is not interested, you will get back the amount paid along with interest. If you have no partner, the amount will go to the nominee.
- If you die after receiving the pension, your partner will get a family pension of 50% (Rs. 1,500).
- If you withdraw from the scheme within 10 years of starting the payment, you will get back the amount paid. If you withdraw after 10 years, you will get back the amount paid along with interest.
- If you fall behind in the payment, you can continue paying the amount along with a fixed interest.
- A high-level committee of secretaries will be there to monitor, review, and amend the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Mandhan Yojana pension scheme for the betterment of farmers. This scheme is beneficial for the growth of the farmer in India.
