My experience buying Realme Buds Air 6 Pro
My experience buying Realme Buds Air 6 Pro

After quite some time, I purchased a Bluetooth headset, the Realme Buds Air 6 Pro. I bought it recently during Flipkart's Big Billion Days sale, which allowed me to save some money. The listed MRP is ₹7999 (which I believe is a price set by the company to show that there’s an offer). There was an extra discount of ₹3500. Additionally, I had 112 SuperCoins on Flipkart, which gave me a discount of ₹112. Since it was the offer period, I also received a further ₹500 off with my SBI credit card. In the end, I got the Realme Buds Air 6 Pro for ₹3890. Currently, the price of Realme Buds Air 6 Pro on Flipkart is ₹4999. This is unusual because typically, even after the offer period, the price remains lower. So, I’m a bit happy about that.

The Realme Buds Air 6 Pro is a true wireless Bluetooth TWS earbud. It offers a battery backup of up to 40 hours of playback time. The Realme Buds Air 6 Pro features Bluetooth version v5.3, with a wireless range of 10 meters. Each earbud comes with two drivers for Hi-Fi quality sound: an 11mm bass driver and a 6mm micro-planar tweeter, ensuring outstanding sound quality from this TWS. It also boasts 50dB of smart Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), and I can't skip mentioning how amazing it is. Both earbuds need to be placed in your ears, and when you turn on noise cancellation, not a single sound reaches your ears. I tested it in various environments, and the results were fantastic. Whether it was raining, while on a bus, or in a noisy town, I gave it a try, and the outcome was superb. Not a trace of noise reached my ears. It's excellent, and I loved it.

Let's take a look at the other features of the Realme Buds Air 6 Pro. It comes with a 360° Spatial Audio Effect, which makes it feel like the sound is moving around your head, delivering a clear and immersive sound quality. It also supports LDAC HD Audio, a technology developed by Sony. This technology helps transmit high-resolution audio over Bluetooth, ensuring top-notch sound quality when LDAC is enabled. Additionally, the Realme Buds Air 6 Pro is Hi-Res certified, further enhancing its audio quality and making it ideal for music enthusiasts.

The Realme Buds Air 6 Pro comes with six microphones for calling and sound recording—three mics in each earbud. This setup ensures high-quality noise cancellation, making it easy to have crystal-clear conversations. The talk mic is excellent; even when speaking softly, the person on the other end can hear you. The Realme Buds Air 6 Pro also offers IP55 water resistance, so there's no need to worry about damage from light rain, sweat, or dust. This makes it ideal for use during workouts or dance sessions, as you can confidently wear them without concern.

Realme promises a battery backup of 40 hours for the Realme Buds Air 6 Pro, combining both the case and the earbuds. Since I don’t use them for 24 hours straight, I’ve been getting a reliable battery backup. I usually charge them every three to four days. It features a 460mAh Li-ion battery. Additionally, the Realme Link App provides connectivity, allowing you to manage all the important settings. The app is very user-friendly. You can connect up to two devices simultaneously with the Realme Buds Air 6 Pro, but adding a third device can be a bit of a hassle. Scanning and pairing can take time. However, it is said to support Google Fast Pair, which I’ve only encountered once. When I opened the earbuds case, it showed a pop-up to pair with the nearest device. For some reason, I haven’t seen it work more than that one time. The company also offers a one-year warranty for the product.

The Realme Buds Air 6 Pro is available in two colors: Silver Blue and Titanium Twilight. I purchased the Titanium Twilight version, and it looks great—very sleek and stylish. The case has the Realme branding on the top of the lid, and at the bottom, there's a USB Type-C charging port. On the front, there's an LED indicator that lights up in green or red, depending on the status. There's also an on/off switch on the side, which you can use to turn it on or off and to pair the earbuds. The case has a compact, oval shape. The box includes a small USB-A to USB-C charging cable. The build quality is superb, and it doesn’t feel like it will get damaged easily. However, the case tends to pick up fingerprints when you hold it. The earbuds come with one set of ear tips already attached, and two additional sets in different sizes are also provided for a better fit.

The shape of the earbuds fits my ears perfectly, so once they’re in, they stay in place securely. There’s no fear of them falling out, even if I run or shake my head. The fit is just right. Before this, I used the Boat Atom 81 model, which didn’t sit well in my ears because the earbuds were too big. Since I can’t make my ears larger, that was a problem! However, the Realme Buds Air 6 Pro seems to be designed with the shape and size of ears in mind, providing a snug and comfortable fit. It stays in place without any issues.

Now, let me share my experience listening to music with the Realme Buds Air 6 Pro. It delivers impressive bass that bass lovers will surely appreciate, and I personally loved it too. You can’t exactly carry a large home theater around with you, but the Realme Buds Air 6 Pro is more than sufficient for enjoying movies, music, and conversations. The sound quality is fantastic, with clear high and low pitches.

One feature that surprised me the most and quickly became my favorite is the ANC (Active Noise Cancellation). It provides an incredible experience; once you place both earbuds in your ears, you won't hear a single sound from the outside. However, it's worth noting that if you keep the ANC on all the time, it can reduce battery backup time.

These are all the experiences I had while using the Realme Buds Air 6 Pro. Are you someone who has used the Realme Buds Air 6 Pro? What has your experience been?
